Our Propel@YH digital accelerator programme provides a six-month course of bespoke support to enable HealthTech startups and scaleups to bring innovative digital health and patient solutions to the Yorkshire and Humber health economy.
Quiddity Health is one of the partners on our Propel@YH accelerator. In this blog, Thomas Cooke, Commercial Account Director and Head of new Business and Partnerships, discusses Quiddity Health’s partnership with the programme and the support it offers to HealthTech SMEs.

- Comprehensive market access sprints
Our team includes strategic leads with extensive experience in healthcare systems, clinical pathways, and digital health innovation. We offer a proven track record in driving revenue growth and securing projects within the complex UK health market landscape.
As we help innovators navigate the NHS landscape, our partnership and expertise is a perfect fit for the Propel@YH programme. We’ve long been a fan of the accelerator as one of the leading educational programmes nationally and we wanted to be part of supporting the high-quality innovators that Propel@YH attracts with a realistic view of the challenges and opportunities associated with UK-market access and scale.
Our workshops and seminars on commercialisation support Propel@YH’s ambition to encourage digital health companies enter and grow within UK healthcare. We provide a session titled ‘UK Healthcare: Growth and Scale’ in addition to supporting at the kick off and showcase events. We focus on the UK market as a whole, the different verticals (NHS, Local Authorities, Private Healthcare, Social Care), who the key people are in each vertical, how to articulate a value proposition to each vertical and sales methodology for engaging, progressing and closing opportunities.
One of the key benefits of the programme is its integration into the local ecosystem (Leeds Teaching Hospitals Innovation Pop Up, Nexus) and partner network, which continues to go from strength to strength. This local ecosystem with the hospital, university, Nexus and other key stakeholders makes Leeds such a great place for HealthTech innovation – everyone is so close and collaborative. It really is as easy as walking across the road to find and speak to key people. This community really helps collaboration; something reflected more broadly across the north of England.
If I could offer one piece of advice to any HealthTech innovator I would say be prepared. It’s tough out there but planning effectively and being fully informed will give you the best chance of success. It will also give you the most credibility with investors!
