Asclepius MedTech has won the pre-revenue generating category in Digital Health’s rewired Pitchfest 2025 competition, fighting off seven other finalists.
Asclepius MedTech was one of nineteen innovators chosen for Health Innovation Yorkshire & Humber’s flagship accelerator programme, Propel@YH, which offers a six-month course of support and guidance for HealthTech SMEs looking to access the NHS market.
The company is helping to transform surgical preoperative assessment to drive hospital efficiencies and improve patient outcomes for those undergoing lower abdominal and orthopedic surgeries.
Its innovation Surgfit, is a wearable patch that collects data from a patient before surgery and is the first remote preoperative patient assessment system that can be carried out in the comfort of a patient’s home.
Asclepius MedTech will now receive expert advice from the CW+ and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, with the potential of having their solution rolled out at the hospital.
Propel Accelerators and International Lead, Tim East, was on the judging panel of Pitchfest and said:
“It was exciting to see lots of new innovations. The competition was high, however Asclepius’s solution is not only aligned to the NHS shift of care in the community, but will also help patients get faster surgical treatment through better triaging and pre surgical assessments”
